    rowdy atmosphere

In my kids’ opinion, the atmosphere around the bar could use improvement. It was quite loud and rowdy with some unsavory locals, which made it uncomfortable for families like ours.

    character charm
    great value
    clean rooms
    dated decor

Charming old coaching inn look with stunning beams that add character. Solid value at £65 for a room, clean linens, and functional setup offered what we needed for an overnight stay.

The room decor felt dated, reminiscent of the 80s, lacking a fresh update that some might find off-putting. Heating couldn't be adjusted, leading to discomfort, and a couple of lights were out, making it somewhat dim. It also lacked that inviting exterior presence as you arrive, which might discourage some. While it’s all serviceable, the tired aesthetic might not appeal to everyone.

    Charming stay with lovely staff

I stayed here for 1 night with my son and was pleasantly surprised by the charm of the place. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made our stay enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable, although the decor felt a bit dated.

    Comfortable Stay with Friendly Service!

Enjoyed a pleasant overnight stay, especially appreciated the warm hospitality from the bar staff. The peaceful atmosphere allowed for a restful night, though the rooms could benefit from some updates. Try the hotel bar for a late-night drink before heading to bed for a quieter experience.

average stay but with some positives

The staff member who checked us in showed genuine kindness. The cleanliness of the bed linen and towels was notable and appreciated. Toiletries provided were good quality and plentiful.

The check-in process felt slow due to limited staffing.

    A good stay for couples

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and we slept like logs, zero noise from other guests, just bliss!

It wasn't exactly a bargain but you know, that’s what you get for decent comfort.

    Cozy spot with good vibes

Had a chill stay here. It was pretty quiet, aside from a wedding that wrapped up early. Loved that we could grab a nice breakfast next door. The drinks were wallet-friendly and the food was so tasty! Just a pity the room wasn’t super clean. cracked window and all. Staff were super friendly though!
